LIDL BUSINESS BUILDING SAMOBOR, CROATIA

Urban Planning – Architectural Competition, 1st place award for architectural and execution solution.

In essence, this facility has a rectangular ground plan. The ground floor’s basic volume is regular and elongated in the southwest-norteast direction. On it, there is a diversified floor layout which consists of four rectangual cubes arranged transversely to the ground floor direction, which are connected to the lower part in relation to the longer front part retracted by ‘connecting’ elements. All these elements in the interior make a whole and unique space. Three rectangular cubes (except the eastern one) emerge from the ground floor layout by consoles, on the north part equally, on the south part by bigger consoles, from east to west.
On these console elements, a thin entrance canopy of a trapezoidal shape is hanged overlooking the main entrance on the ground floor at the southwest corner of the facility, as well as the entrance to the floor under the eastern console.
On the ground floor, there is a grocery store, and on the floor above, there are a consumer goods store and office space
